Our editorial policy
How we research, write, review, and correct the content on Local ABA Therapy.
Why standards matter here. Families reading this site are making decisions about their child's health care. That is a responsibility we take seriously: our goal is that every page is accurate, clearly sourced, plainly written, and free of scare tactics or pressure.
How content is produced. Our guides and local coverage pages are drafted with the help of modern editorial tools and are structured, fact-checked, and maintained by the Local ABA Therapy editorial team. State-specific facts - Medicaid program names, insurance-mandate status, and early-intervention programs - come from a curated dataset we compile from authoritative public sources and re-verify periodically.
Sources we rely on. State Medicaid program sites, state departments of insurance, the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) autism-coverage tracker, IDEA Part C early-intervention program sites, and established autism organizations. We favor primary government sources over commentary.
What our content is - and is not. Everything on this site is general educational information. It is not medical, legal, or insurance advice, and it is not a substitute for guidance from a BCBA, pediatrician, or your health plan. Coverage details vary by plan and change over time - always confirm specifics with your insurer or state program.
Corrections. If anything on this site is out of date or wrong, tell us at hello@localabatherapy.com and we will review and fix it promptly.
Advertising & funding. We do not run ads. We are funded by the ABA providers we partner with (see About us); our service stays free for families, and funding never changes what our guides say.
